Thinking of running the Whistler Half-Marathon in June? Don’t delay – only 138 spots are left.

On New Year’s Day, race organizers opened up the 1,000 spots available in the North Face Whistler Half Marathon, and as of Tuesday, only those 138 spots were left.

“We have been selling an average of 20 spots per day over the past weeks, so at that rate we would expect to be sold out near the end of January or early February,” says race director Dave Clark.

The run is taking place in Whistler on June 2. And it’s not just the half marathon distance that’s popular. Organizers say 25 per cent of the spots for the Little Rippers kids run are already sold, and it’s likely the race will fill soon.

Registration fees for the half marathon are $78 including all taxes, fees and a $5 donation to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada, the event’s primary charity. The Little Rippers kids run registration is $10 and includes a special kid’s race kit, including t-shirt.
