Caleb Ndiku stars in the latest hip-hop music video from Machakos Kyalo throwing cash in the camera to a backdrop of trophies. Sporting his Kenya Nike kit used in competition, Ndiku also gets in a solid workout running throughout the four-and-a-half-minute video.

Among his notable lyrics is the following gem: “No one thought I would be track star, but now they see me in sports cars.”

Throughout the video, Kyalo pays homage to the Kenyan distance star who has represented the African nation multiple times on the international stage.

Machakos, referenced in the video, is Ndiku’s hometown located 60 kilometres southeast of Kenya’s capital, Nairobi.

Ndiku, 23, has a number of impressive feats in his repertoire including a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and a silver at the 2014 IAAF World Championships last summer in Beijing. Both were in the 5,000m.

In addition to his appearance in the music video, Ndiku has made headlines in the past for some rather odd behaviour including wearing a toque at the 2014 World Indoor Championships in Sopot, Poland despite the meet being held indoors.
