Former Canadian women’s record holder Silvia Ruegger was at the finish line to see both Lanni Marchant and Krista DuChene beat her 1985 mark of 2:28:36. Ruegger talks to Canadian Running about how she feels about the record finally falling, as well as the state of women’s running in Canada.
