Would you wear a running dress?
If someone asked me: would you wear a running dress? I think my honest answer would probably be something like, “maybe?” followed by some giggling.
But then the more I thought about it, the more it seemed like an opportunity to make a fashion statement. Growing up playing and watching tennis before I got into running, I always loved the ties between the fashion industry and tennis. Stepping out on the court was an opportunity to show off one’s personal style.
In terms of functionality, it seems to me that anything you can play tennis in, you can go for a run in. So, I guess my true response to the running dress would be, “Sure. Why not?”
Evidently, some athletic wear retailers have followed the same thought process, as running dresses, though not mainstream, are definitely available for purchase.
