What the start line of the Boston Marathon looks like the day before the race

The Boston Marathon starts in the town of Hopkinton. We went out to the start line to check out the scene before nearly 30,000 runners overwhelm this sleepy community. There we found a quaint marathon festival at the square next to the start line. Local police even stopped traffic for runners to get a photo standing on the start line.

We also checked out the community church that houses the elites and the local high school, which serves as the temporary home for the runners for a couple of hours before the gun goes off.
