How to watch Team Canada at the World Athletics Championships

Here is the schedule of events and everything you need to know to follow Team Canada in Oregon

Fifty-nine athletes have earned their spots on Team Canada in Eugene, Ore. for the 2022 World Athletics Championships, and on Friday, July 15, 16 of those athletes will kick off their championships at Hayward Field.

The action begins today with the Day 1 morning session beginning at noon E.T. on CBC Sports with the men’s hammer throw and high jump getting underway first. The first medal event of the championships will be handed out during the men’s and women’s 20 km race walk and the mixed 4x400m relay in the evening session of the broadcast, beginning at 7:30 p.m. E.T. 

All morning and evening sessions can be streamed for free on CBC Sports.

Friday, July 15

Morning session: men’s hammer throw (qualification), men’s high jump (qualification), mixed 4x400m (heats), women’s hammer throw (qualification), women’s 20km race walk (final)

Evening session: men’s 20km race walk (final), women’s shot put (qualification), men’s 3,000m steeplechase (heats), women’s pole vault (qualification), women’s 1,500m (heats), men’s 100m (heats), men’s shot put (qualification), mixed 4x400m (final)

Saturday, July 16

Morning session: women’s 3,000m steeplechase (heats), women’s triple jump (qualification), women’s high jump (qualification), men’s 110mH (heats), men’s hammer throw (final), women’s 10,000m (final), men’s 400mH (heats)

Evening session: women’s 100m (heats), men’s 100m (semi-final), women’s shot put (final), men’s long jump (final), men’s 1,500m (heats), women’s 1,500m (semi-final), men’s 100m (final)

Sunday, July 17

Morning session: men’s marathon (final), men’s 400m (heats), women’s hammer throw (final), women’s 400m (heats), men’s 10,000m (final)
