Join the Stand with Ukraine virtual running challenge

100 per cent of proceeds will be donated to humanitarian NGOs helping Ukrainian civilians caught up in the midst of war

If you are looking for ways you can support those in the midst of fleeing Ukraine, Conqueror Virtual Challenges has created the Stand with Ukraine challenge, which involves runners covering 58 kilometres in a month while contributing to NGOs that are helping Ukrainian citizens.

Since the Russian invasion began on Feb. 24, hundreds of thousands of families in eastern Ukraine have fled their homes, seeking safety. The Stand with Ukraine virtual challenge will give 100 per cent of the proceeds to charities that deliver much-needed aid and provide immediate resources to civilians. In the last 14 hours alone, $191,220 has been raised and donated to organizations like the International Red Cross and Save the Children Ukraine, which are working around the clock to help individuals and families.

There is no time limit for the 58 kilometres and challenge participants can choose from a number of activities to complete it.

The organizers of the challenge, Conqueror Fitness, hope that this humanitarian challenge inspires the running community to donate and make a meaningful contribution to this urgent situation.

“A big part of our international team is based in Romania, which borders Ukraine,” says Alexa Gould of Conqueror Challenges. “The solidarity and support expressed by our community gave us even further inspiration to do more.”
