The shortest race ever

Screen Shot 2014-12-19 at 3.53.11 PMThe world of running is getting laughed at in Philadelphia by the organizers of the 0.0 Instant Gratification Run–the shortest race ever. That’s right, it is 0.0K, or 0.0 miles, or 0.0m and so on. The race is over in less than a second.

The race website claims that it aims to bring runners and non-runners alike together, in order to partake in everyone’s favourite part of any running event–the post-race festivities (we would argue that this may not be EVERYONE’s favourite part, as some of us here at Canadian Running kind of like the whole running part). Participants must be 21 or older to partake in the ‘race,’ as the post-race celebration involves booze and live music.

For the twenty dollar race fee, you get a t-shirt and bib, as well as entrance to the post-party. All you have to do is step across the start line (which is also the finish line).
