What a fun way to remember your race–this video from the 2023 Mississauga Half Marathon (formerly the Mississauga Marathon), which took place on April 30, will remind you why you love to run and race. (And if you raced it this year, you might even spot yourself!)

The event included the half-marathon distance, a 10K race and a 5K race, all of which started and finished at Mississauga’s Celebration Square. It was the first year without a full marathon, but by the look of the video, it didn’t affect runners’ spirits. The half-marathon takes runners from the city centre to the Credit River and through the University of Toronto’s beautiful Erindale campus. The curvy “Marilyn Monroe” condo towers off Hurontario St. are visible in the final few kilometres of all the races.

This year’s half was won by Kyle Grieve in 1:07:11. Sergio Ráez Villanueva was second, in 1:07:59 and Anthony Dionne was third, in 1:08:22. On the women’s side, Kim Krezonoski broke the tape in 1:17:17, followed by Shannen Murray in second place (1:23:47) and Jessica Kellar third in 1:28:37.
