Apparently Prince William wants to run a marathon in Kenya some day... and the Duchess of Cambridge has something to say about it.

It seems as though the Duchess of Cambridge has a sassy streak.

Kate Middleton is a much-adored icon in the public eye regularly making headlines for her public appearances and spot-on fashion sense. Now though, we have another reason to love her– apparently this trendsetter is witty too.

As reported by People Magazine and Elle UK  Middleton showed up with Prince William to an event on Tuesday to promote their mental health charity called Heads Together. At the event was a face from Good Morning Britain who was happy to share with the audience a smart one-liner he heard from Middleton.

As both magazines report, Prince William told Sean Fletcher that he plans to run a marathon in Kenya one day. When Fletcher asked Middleton what she thought about this admirable challenge, she allegedly responded by saying “I’ll believe it when I see it.”

Pippa Middleton

While her playful comment is pretty funny, if anyone in the Middleton family has earned the right to poke fun, it’s Pippa Middleton. The sister to the Duchess of Cambridge actually has a Kenyan marathon under her belt. She ran the Safaricom Marathon for her debut in the distance and then last May, she travelled to China to take part in the Great Wall Marathon.

Either way, if Prince William does bang out a 42.2K, we’ll be keeping tabs.
