On heads to the West Coast

Swiss sportswear brand On is touching down in Vancouver from Oct. 20-22

Last week, Swiss running shoe and apparel company, On, touched down in Canada with a pop-up event in Toronto’s Yorkville neighbourhood. This week, west coast runners have a chance to get acquainted with the brand as it moves across the country to set up shop in Vancouver. From Oct. 20-22, Vancouver-area runners have the opportunity to head to the On pop-up near Kitsilano beach to try some of the brand’s apparel and participate in a variety of free community fitness events.

“This pop-up is meant to be a brand experience with the focus on our apparel,” says On marketing lead Hannah Allen. Since the three-day event is taking place ahead of Vancouver’s Great Trek races, they will be featuring “the perfect race day outfit,” which will be available for purchase. There will be a few different shoes available for runners to try on as well, but runners will not be able to buy them at the pop-up.

Just like in Toronto, the highlight of the event will be the free community activities that take will place each day, including a yoga class and strength class hosted at Turf Studios (KITS). There will also be an Intro to Road Running Workshop hosted by Colour the Trails and a community run on Friday evening. The main event of the pop-up will be the art run, which has been curated by a local On ambassador and tours some of the city’s best street art. All events are free, but runners must sign up for them either in advance or at the door. Check out the full schedule here:
