Swiss sportswear brand On touches down in Toronto

Toronto-area runners can check out the On Pop-up from Oct. 14-16

Swiss running shoe and apparel company, On, is touching down in the Yorkville neighborhood of Toronto. The company is hosting a pop-up space from Oct. 14th-16th. Besides showcasing their latest product, On will be hosting a variety of events from their space including a free yoga class, strength class, a community run and more. The pop-up will culminate with an Art Run on the 16th touring the beloved art murals of the city within a 6km loop.

On marketing lead Hannah Allen describes this event as their first-ever handshake (or masked elbow bump) with the Toronto running community independent of their local retail partners. “As a brand, we believe that movement is what ignites the human spirit to dream big, explore the outdoors, and unify our communities,” she says. “We’ve designed the pop-up agenda to incorporate opportunities for community movement every single day so that we can sweat alongside members of the Six.”

The pop-up will be located at 135 Yorkville Avenue from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for browsing before closing down for the evening to host the community events. Check out the pop-up page here and the schedule for the three-day event below:

The yoga class and strength class will be taught by two On ambassadors, and the community run will be a relaxed, 5-kilometre run open to all skill levels. All three events do not require participants to sign up ahead of time. The marquee event of the weekend will be the Art Run.

“We want to go out explore the city, re-discover the city now that COVID is beginning to lift,” says Allen, “and celebrate all the beautiful street art in the city.”

The Art Run will require participants to sign up ahead of time, which you can do by clicking here. All events will be free to the public, and participants will be encouraged to make a donation to Achilles Canada, a non-profit organization that provides people with various disabilities an opportunity to receive the physical, psychological, and communal benefits of running.
