See as a marathon runner opts to spray Kate Middleton and Prince William with water at an aid station of the 2017 London Marathon.

Prince William London Marathon

You see Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, at the next aid station during a marathon. What do you do?

Well, at Sunday’s London Marathon, one runner took the opportunity to have a bit of fun with the two volunteers at an on-course water station. Both were set up at the 35K mark of the race, according to Kensington Palace on Twitter, before heading to the finish line to hand out race medals.

At the aid station, one unidentified runner decided to spray some water in the direction of Middleton and William. Instead of cups, runners received small water bottles.

William, Middleton and Prince Harry were all on hand at the London Marathon with Heads Together, an organization that “wants to help people feel much more comfortable with their everyday mental well-being and have the practical tools to support their friends and family.” Heads Together was the 2017 London Marathon’s ‘Charity of the Year.’

Deadspin first reported on the fun sequence of photos. Getty Images captured the sequence showing William’s reaction to the water spray. (See the sequence below.) Meanwhile, Middleton didn’t seem too concerned.
