Tiger Woods’ fitness regime
Yes, it involves running.
Tiger Woods won his PGA Tour title in five years yesterday at East Lake in Atlanta. After tabloid-worthy transgressions in his personal life and repeated back surgeries took him out of the game for a number of years, Woods has attempted a comeback several times, without success, until yesterday.
Recalling the kind of physique he displayed as a younger man dominating a sport known more for skill than athleticism, we were curious to what extent running figured in his routine.
“I’ve been sitting on 79 for about five years now, and to get 80 is a pretty damned good feeling,” said Woods. – TGRhttps://t.co/zeudcqeabH

In February, he told Men’s Journal his routine used to involve running eight miles (almost 13K) a day, broken into two 6+K runs, along with a punishing weight-training regime in the gym, several hours of golf-specific practice, and some basketball and a little tennis.
And although those days of intense workouts are behind him, clearly he retains an impressive fitness base that served him well yesterday, and hopefully will continue to serve him as the comeback progresses.
