How our late-season cross-country rankings stacked up with race day results from the U Sports Cross-Country Championships

How close were CR‘s late-October nationals predictions to the actual results of the U Sports Cross-Country Championships? Take a look below.

Athletes are sorted by the original ranking, with their result in brackets preceded by a plus/minus for whether they finished ahead of, or behind, the projections. If a runner finished 10th, and we projected them ninth, the bracket would read (-1, ninth).

Note that the list doesn’t adjust for scratches as any crossed out name indicates said runner did not race at the national university cross-country championships in Victoria on Nov. 12. A zero indicates the prediction was accurate.
