Boston Marathon registration continues

Registration for the 2015 Boston Marathon re-opens today at 10 a.m. EDT to all time qualifiers.

There are still approximately 8,000 spots available from the 24,000 allotted to runners who met their age and gender qualification standards. The 2015 race is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 20, 2015, and will have a cap of 30,000.

Registration will remain open until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17. If, in that time, more qualifiers register than space is available, applicants will be ranked and the fastest will be given preference to complete their registration. Last year, overwhelming demand for the event meant that only those who ran 1:38 faster than their qualifying time were able to register.
