Justyn Knight

Justyn Knight is now two for two in setting school records in 2016 after breaking the Syracuse University men’s 3,000m record at the Iowa State Classic on Friday evening.

The Toronto native and graduate of St. Michael’s College won the 3,000m in 7:48.71, which puts him just behind the NCAA leader in the event (Patrick Tiernan, 7:48.55). The time was a school record, meet record and a facility record.

According to the Syracuse Orange press release, Knight overtook Martin Hehir’s school record from a year ago.
