“I think it will be a good time to retire, on top and just been dominating for so long,” Bolt told The Associated Press.

But before his planned retirement, the Jamaican sprint star first wants to win a gold medal or two in Rio, set another world record in the 200m in 2014, and maybe also take home a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games.

The 27-year-old won three golds at the world championships in Moscow last month and plans to compete in Friday’s Van Damme Memorial in Brussels, Belgium as his last competition of the season.

“If I want to be among the greats of [Muhammad] Ali and Pele and all these guys, I have to continue dominating until I retire,” Bolt said.

Bolt didn’t mention a date for his charity challenge 600m showdown with British distance runner Mo Farah.
