Kenyan distance runner Caleb Ndiku stars in a hip-hop music video from Machakos Kyalo tossing stacks of money on a dirt road surrounded by numerous trophies.

Ndiku sports his Nike Kenya kit and appears to get in a good workout considering the amount of running he displays in the video. The song name is entitled Run Caleb Ndiku.

Among the lines he drops in the video is “no one thought I would be a track star, now they see me in sports cars.”

The description of the video pays homage to the Kenyan distance athlete who has represented the African nation multiple times on the international stage:

To my brother, one of the best Machakos Kenya representers, Caleb Ndiku. I thank you for everything that you’ve done for me, our village, our city & our country. You’re an inspiration to all & to many village boys & girls such as myself.

Machakos, referenced in the video, is a town in Kenya located 60 kilometres southeast of Nairobi, the country’s capital.

Ndiku has a number of impressive performances in his repertoire including a silver medal in the 5,000m at the 2015 world championships and winning gold in the same event at the Commonwealth Games in 2014.

Ndiku is no stranger to odd antics. At the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Sopot, Poland, Ndiku was spotted running the 3,000m with a tuque despite the race being held indoors in moderate temperatures.
