Sumo wrestlers ditch the ring, head to the track instead

World class athletes can break longstanding records, sprint athletes can become stars seemingly overnight but it turns out there’s perhaps no better way to make track entertaining than by putting three sumo wrestlers on the start line.

This recent video pretty much proves exactly that.

These three wrestlers were visiting Wakayama Prefecture region in Japan’s largest peninsula. It seems they took a little break from their own sport and decided to duke it out in a 100m sprint instead.
