List of marathons to run in the Prairies in 2017
Experience the Prairie provinces, from the mountains to the flats, with a selection of 12 marathons in 2017.
Runners have 12 marathons to choose from in 2017 if they’re to race a 42K in Manitoba, Saskatchewan or Alberta.
The most iconic of all road running distances will first be offered in mid-April at the Gopher Attack Marathon with the Canadian Prairies racing season ramping up in late spring and early summer. The final Prairies marathon will be in Calgary on Oct. 14.
Several of the 2017 races, like the Scotiabank Calgary Marathon and Banff Marathon, for example, will incorporate Canada’s 150th anniversary into their race day celebrations. (What better place to celebrate Canada’s 150th than in the country’s first national park in Banff?)
