Beyond running world celebrities like Shalane Flanagan, Mary Keitany and Des Linden, the TCS New York City Marathon is full of your favourite models, actors and celebrities running through the boroughs of New York. Here’s a complete list of famous folks entered in the race, and below are some of their stories (if you don’t already know them).

Meb Keflezighi

American running legend Keflezighi technically retired after running the 2017 New York marathon, but is back for charity in 2018. The Olympic silver medallist finished 11th in 2:15:29 in 2017 event. This year he’s running for NYRR Team for Kids. 


Tiki Barber 

Barber is a former NFL running back who played for the New York Giants for 10 seasons. He attended the University of Virginia and was inducted into their hall of fame in 2011. He’ll be running for NYRR Team for Kids. 


Teri Hatcher 

You probably know her as Lois Lane, a Bond girl or one of the Desperate Housewives, but Hatcher is also a runner. Two Sundays from now she’ll be running in New York for Save the Children.


Yasir Salem

Salem is a four-time Ironman, 31-time marathoner, 10-time Tour de Donut champion and a professional eater. He calls himself the “world’s top speed eater ultra-endurance athlete.” He’s running for the Gweneviere Mann Foundation.


Genesis Suero

Suero is Miss New York USA 2018. The pageant queen is also a real estate agent, model and active runner. She runs to encourage others to live a healthy lifestyle. 


Brian D’Arcy James

D’Arcy James is an actor and musician who is best known for his roles in Spotlight (2015) and Ghost Town (2008). He’s also been in many Broadway productions. He’s running for Concern Worldwide U.S.


Erin Hamlin

Hamlin is a four-time Olympian and the first female American luger to medal at any Winter Olympics. She will be running for the Women’s Sport Foundation.
