The Victoria Marathon is quickly approaching. If you’re looking for a fun for a course that’s equal parts beautiful and fast, you’ve found it. The race starts at 8 a.m. on Sunday October 13 and is a great way to spend the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend.
If the marathon feels a little bit long for you, not to worry, the race weekend also offers a half-marathon, 8K and a kids race. The half-marathon also doubles as the B.C. half-marathon championships and boasts a strong elite line up.
The 2018 event saw some impressive results from Canadian elites like Natasha Wodak and Emily Setlack, but arguably the most impressive performance came from masters runner Jim Finlayson who, in his first marathon in a decade, ran a Canadian M45 record of 2:25:31.
It’s not too late to sign up, so more information and registration please see the event website here.
