In the latest episode of The Shakeout Podcast, elite distance runner Andrew Alexander joins the show to discuss his journey to professional running.

Alexander currently trains under former Canadian Olympian Matt Hughes and Rhythm Athletics, which he joins following a decorated collegiate career with Notre Dame University in Indiana. Last fall, he made his half-marathon debut at the Toronto Waterfront Marathon, winning the event in a time of 1:02:44.

We discuss a number of topics, including the challenges for elite Canadian athletes looking for sponsorship, training alongside his former roommate and American mile record-holder Yared Nuguse, his recent move to Flagstaff, Ariz. and his future goals.
