Gastown

Annie, Will and Meaghan hit Gastown on Sunday morning. Vancouver’s oldest neighbourhood, named after the nickname of a saloon owner. Gastown today is a great spot to finish a weekend run, with many brunch and drink options. The neighbourhood is also a great boutique shopping destination.

Granville Island

Alina, Thais and Alex headed over to Granville Island for an afternoon run. Actually a peninsula, it’s home to a popular open-air market, as well as Emily Carr University, one of the best art schools in the country. Granville Island is a great spot to run through as a halfway point of a longer run, or a finishing spot for the crew to enjoy lunch at one of the many great seafood joints on the island.

Stanley Park

Dustin, Lesley, Joel and Shannon meet up for a late afternoon run around the Seawall, one of the world’s prettiest stretches. Spanning 22 kilometres around Stanley Park, the Seawall alone can make for one epic run. The interior of the park also provides dozens of kilometres of incredible trail running. Its 1,000 acres are the last of the forest that once covered much of the region.

Jericho Beach

East Van Run Crew founder Ryan Chilibeck connected with Maya and Asita for an evening summer run that included Jericho Beach and its adjacent park. The beach is perfect for a group to start and finish, with Pacific Spirit Park and Kitsilano Beach as great nearby destinations to string together one gorgeous run.
