If you need viewing plans for the weekend, we have you covered. With Canada’s top university athletes competing on both sides of the border and the second fastest women’s marathoner in history competing at one of the most prestigious marathons in the world in Japan, it’s going to be an exciting weekend of racing.

Here are three big events that are happening, and how to watch and follow along.

U Sports Track and Field Championships (Canada)

Canadian University Indoor Track and Field Championships are live at the University of Saskatchewan Fieldhouse in Saskatoon from March 9 to 11, welcoming Canadian athletes from coast to coast. All events and races can be watched or streamed on CBC Gem and results can be found here.

NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships (USA)

Several of Canada’s top up-and-coming stars are competing at the University of New Mexico for the 2023 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Albuquerque, N.M. Some of the Canadian favourites to contend for an NCAA title are Ceili McCabe, Aurora Rynda, Savannah Sutherland, Gracelyn Larkin and Kieran Lumb

2023 Nagoya Women’s Marathon (Japan)

The Nagoya Women’s Marathon is live on Sunday morning (Saturday evening, for those watching in North America) from Nagoya, Japan. Nagoya is a special race and a leader in promoting women’s running, offering a whopping USD $250,000 to the race winner. It is also the world’s largest women-only marathon and is starring the second-fastest marathoner in history–Kenya’s Ruth Chepngetichwho nearly broke the world record at the Chicago Marathon last fall.

WatchAthletics will have information on how to watch the Nagoya Women’s Marathon, beginning on Saturday night at 7 p.m. E.T.
