How to watch the Platinum PT Qualifier this weekend

With the Olympics only two months away, the summer track season is heating up as athletes try to hit qualifying standards and collect more World Athletics points to give themselves a chance at being selected to their respective Olympic teams. This Saturday, May 29, Tracksmith is sponsoring the Platinum PT Qualifier, a last-chance twilight meet just outside Boston, where several athletes will be chasing record attempts and qualifying standards. This is one event track fans won’t want to miss.

The action starts at 6 p.m. and will be hosted by Carrie Tollefson, Mary Cain and Chris Chavez. The main events of the evening will be the 800m, 1,500m and 5K, and there are several notable athletes who will be toeing the line, including Canada’s Justyn Knight, who has already qualified in both the 1,500m and the 5,000m. Ben Flanagan will also be lining up in the 5,000m. Other notable athletes competing include Molly Huddle and Emily Sisson in the 5,000m, Elle Purrier in the 800m, as well as Johnny Gregorek, Abbey Cooper, Josette Norris, Ben True and Martin Hehir.

The great news is, this meet is free to watch and easy to access. All you have to do is sign up here to be notified when the live stream will start, and you’re good to go. If you’re a track fan who wants to watch some fast running, this meet is one you won’t want to miss.
