Resolution Run
Fifty-six locations across Canada
All locations host a 5K and some a 10K-run as well. Each location supports a charity of its choice.
Midnite Run
Toronto
This 5K run takes place right at midnight–so you can truly start 2016 off on the right foot (or left, if you so desire). If you want to include your non-running friends, tickets to the after party only are also available. This race features on course fireworks and a glass of champagne at the end–definitely not your usual road race!
Hair of the Dog Fun Run
Toronto
The annual Hair of the Dog Fun Run is hosted each year by the Balmy Beach Canoe Club. Runners head out on a 9K-run or 3K-walk along the lake. The walk begins at 11:30 a.m. local time and the run begins at 12 noon, great for the folks who opted to stay out late the night prior.
Polar Bear Run
Peachland, B.C.
This event offers 2K or 5K run or walk options. It starts at 10 a.m. local time on New Year’s Day.
New Year’s Eve Resolution Run
New Glasgow, N.S.
This untimed and free event is meant to encourage community members to start their year with activity. The gun goes off at 6 p.m. for this 5K, so you’ll have lots of time for post-race celebration.
