Profile: A popular event and part of the Canada Running Series – the only such event in the province – 21K de Montreal is a spring favourite. Beginning at the Parterre on Ste-Helene Island of Parc Jean-Drapeau, the half-marathon course completes a full loop of Ste-Helene Island before crossing onto Notre-Dame Island (Gilles-Villeneuve Circuit and Olympic Bassin) and runs another loop before returning to Ste-Helene for the finish at the Complexe Aquatique. The route is flat and fast and provides scenic views of downtown Montreal. A 5K option is also offered. Participants can expect excellent organization, pre- and post-race amenities as well as signature swag, medals and more.

The start of the 2009 Victoria Times-Colonist 10K.Sunday April 26th: Times Colonist/TC 10K, Victoria, B.C.

Profile: The Times Colonist 10K and new half-marathon option starts and finishes just outside the B.C. legislative buildings and features a panoramic loop of downtown Victoria through several Oceanside parks and charming neighbourhoods. Expect supportive crowds and on-course amenities while enjoying spectacular views. The post-race refreshments and celebrations are also worth attending, making this event an all-round exceptional experience.

Profile: Celebrating 35 years in 2015, the Calgary Police Half is considered by many to be the first major running event of the Alberta road race calendar. The start and finish are located at the Mount Royal University Recreation Area. The course proceeds out and around the Glenmore reservoir with scenic views of the city and many parks and residential neighbourhoods. Participants receive a long-sleeved tech tee, a post-race breakfast and unique finisher’s medal.
