The men’s mile will be the grand finale of the day, with multiple top athletes toeing the line. After falling just short of running a sub-four-minute mile on New Year’s Eve to extend his sub-4 streak to 20 years, Nick Willis will be on the start line, no doubt hoping to keep his streak alive. High school phenom, Hobbs Kessler, who holds the American U20 1,500m record, will be in the mix, along with American Craig Engels, American blue jean mile record-holder Johnny Gregorek and 1,500m Tokyo Olympic finalist, Australia’s Ollie Hoare.
