WARM-UP:

Dynamic stretching for the length of three Christmas carols.

RUN:speedo santa

Fartlek session (can be tailored to your desired length)

Houses with Christmas lights will be your cue to speed up. Run fast for the distance in between houses with lights and then ease up until the next house with lights. This is a fun way to appreciate your neighbourhood’s holiday spirit, while getting in a bit of speed work.

Pre Run PlankSTRENGTH:

Pass the parcel–an abdominal-strengthening version

Wrap a gift in multiple layers of wrapping paper. Have one person be the designated DJ (they can being doing squats while performing this task, so that they’re not left out of the workout). Form a circle and get into plank position. Start the music and pass the parcel around the circle until the music stops. When the music stops, everyone performs push-ups until the person has unwrapped a layer of the parcel. Continue until the parcel has been unwrapped and someone has won a Christmas gift.
