London man racing the tube

Racing the tube.

A few videos, posted earlier this summer but which have just garnered media attention in the last few days, show an obviously fit, strong runner in London, England, racing the city’s tube (subway, as they’re known in North America) between stops.

The first video shows him running what the video claims is 5K between Moorgate and St. Jame’s Park stations in 17:40. The shortest calculated distance on Google maps by foot is 4.2K, still an impressive time, given he races through traffic and turnstiles.

The second video is a sprint between Mansion House and Cannon Street stations, a must shorter distance which the runner barely manages to make.
