VIDEO: A day in the life with Canadian record holder Damian Warner

Follow Warner through a day of training as he prepares for the 2019 World Championships and 2020 Olympics

Damian Warner is not just Canada’s best decathlete, he’s one of the world’s best. The London, Ont. native is an Olympic and World Championship medallist who has come within striking distance of the decathlon world record on several occasions.

The Canadian record holder gave us a glimpse into a day of his training in preparation for his upcoming outdoor season. It involves strength, speed and recovery and gives good insights into exactly what it takes to become one of the best in the world. 

Warner broke his own Canadian record this past May at Gotzis and set the world leading score at the time for the decathlon. Gotzis is a combined-events meet that takes place in Austria. Warner has won the meet four times.
